 I'm Bentley - but my family calls me Ben. I am a 2 1/2 year old Yorkshire Terrier who was adopted by my Mom and Dad in July, 2008. I weigh only 7 pounds and have a very gentle temperment.  I'm Mya - I was adopted by my new owner in February of 2008. Life was not good when I lived with an abuser, so I ran away. At age 1 1/2 I was adopted from the Humane Society. Life is now one happy slide after another...I love to go down the slide at the school playground - with the kids or without! Attending meetings, rummage sales, and greeting people on walks has me really looking forward to being a therapy dog! Some people think I am a Pit, perhaps my grand mother was. Meet FENWAY! |
 I'm Fenway - a one year old Yellow Lab. I love everything associated with baseball and I can often be seen carrying my baseball everywhere I go. I like to be active and play outside. In the summer, I enjoy swimming in the family pool. In the winter, I like to help shovel snow. On the weekends, I like to go for runs at the beach or go on long walks around the neighborhood. I also like spending time with the family cats, Mia and Chloe. I joined Therapy Dogs United because I am friendly with other dogs and I like spending time with people. I'm a gentle dog despite my large size. I love showing off the tricks I know - I can crawl, shake, give high five's, and many others. I can do these tricks for a treat or without, but I'm always hoping for my favoriate treat - a vanilla ice cream cone! I love getting my photo taken and I am always seen smiling!  I'm Molly - a two year old Cairn terrier. My breed originated in the Highlands of Scotland and my descendants were bred to catch all varieties of rodents and small mammals. That is why I love nothing better than to chase moles and to dig. In fact sometimes all that can be seen of me is my tail poking out of a hole in the back yard! I'm Frasier - a 7 year old Eurasier. I am a very rare breed! I have been an active therapy dog for 3 years in nursing homes, and was a companion to my elderly next door neighbor (in his 90's). I really, really love children and plan to visit as many as I can! 
I'm Hunter - a 4 year old Doberman. I have worked in a number of school programs that introduced responsible dog ownership to students. I'm looking forward to making visits to nursing homes, schools, homeless shelters -- anywhere I can go to bring joy to someone's life. 
I'm Isabella - a beautiful one year old Landseer Newfoundland. Most people aren't familiar with my black and white coloring, which makes me rather unusual, but not necessarily rare. My breed has a rich history - in fact, one of my ancestors traveled with Lewis and Clark during their great American Expedition. Sometimes folks get confused when they see me and think I am a minature shetland pony! I can assure you - I am all dog....all 125 pounds of me. 
I'm Doogan - a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd. When I am not working with adults and children as a therapy dog - I also serve as a certified Search and Rescue dog. 
I'm Sydney - an 11 year young Standard Poodle. I love visitors and visiting, car rides, boat rides, swimming and playing with squeaky toys. I lost my right eye to cancer three years ago - but I don't let my handicap slow me down. I have been an active therapy dog, visiting a variety of nursing homes and Stairways Behavioral Health facilities. 
I'm Gus - a 4 1/2 year old Chow-Golden Retriever mix. (I prefer to think of myself as a "special edition.") I was rescued by Because You Care, Inc., in pretty bad shape and have been in my forever home with my Mom for 3 years. I have been doing therapy work for 2 years at nursing homes with Asera Care Hospice and work at Stairways Behavioral Health too! My Mom and I are also a certified HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response Team. 
I'm Bella - a 4 1/2 year old female Chihuahua. I was born on Christmas Day...that's pretty cool! Sometimes my Mom and Dad call me "Bella Boo Boo." I look forward to being a therpy dog because I love anybody who will let me give hugs and kisses.
I'm Murphy - a West Highland White Terrier. My hobbies include running in the park, riding in the car, taking naps and sniffing things. I also like to go fishing with my Dad and to cuddle on the couch with my Mom.
I'm Zena (The Warrior Princess) - I am a 5 year old loveable German Pinscher. My Mom takes me walking every day and I love running in the school yard where my Dad grew up. She still gives me lessons once a week so that I continue to be a responsible companion. I love travelling, boating and just cuddling with my Mom and Dad. I'm not a lap dog, but I try to be!
I'm Cocoa - a 3 year old Standard Poodle - and I am a former Calendar Girl! I was featured in the September 2007 issue of a National Puppy Calendar. I love swimming, boating, riding in the car, kitties, my dog sister Sydney who is also a therapy dog, visiting anyone, and lots of attention!
I'm Aiko - a 17 year old Miniature American Eskimo. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 19, 1991. I have travelled extensively throughout the U.S. and I always take my owner with me because she has learned how to behave in the car! I enjoy meeting new people and moonlit walks along the beach.
I'm Gracie - a 1 year old Golden Retriever. I was an Easter present that fit nicely in a basket...but not any more!!! I have a large human family that loves to play and have fun. That's why I have been learning so many new tricks, so I can always be sure to join in the family fun!
I'm Gus - a giant, loving Great Pyrenees. My Mom and Dad rescued me from The Anna Shelter 2 1/2 years ago. I was malnourished, mistreated, and had lost much of my fur - plus, I had many sores all over my body. I was not a happy puppy. From the moment my Mom and Dad laid eyes on me, there was an instant connection and I knew my life was about to change forever - and for the better! I've since gained 65 lbs. and I am happy and blessed to have found such a wonderful and loving home. For those of you not familiar with my breed, I come from the Pyrenees Mountains of France. I am a working breed who was bred to protect the sheep from the wolves.
I'm Sassy - and, yes, I am! I am very vocal. Not barking...that would be rude. But I do express myself and make my opinion known to all. I was abandoned in a barn in Meadville and a kind woman took me to the vet. He said that I was a purebred English Springer Spaniel. WHO KNEW? I was so small. I looked more like a Beagle than a Springer. I still had my dew claws, full tail, and markings on my muzzle that looked like I had been slurping in chocolate pudding. I was given to Dog Dianne (I call her that) who was the Springer rescue person...she cleaned me up and found me a home. Dianne is great! I still visit her at Dog Camp every year when my family is on vacation. Anyway, she found me a wonderful home...something about an "empty nest." Guess I filled up that nest again. I've been with my family now for 10 years.
I'm Mac - a 4 year old Yorki-Poo. Dad was a 4 lb. Yorkshire Terrier and Mom was a 3 lb. Toy Poodle. I am black with reddish highlights. I have brown eyes and weigh only 3 1/2 pounds! I am my Nan's "most happy fella" - Mac.
I'm Arona - an 18 month old Golden Lab, and a release dog from Canine Companions for Independence. I love to run and play with people and other dogs - but I also enjoy working with children and adults of all ages. I learned a lot of special skills while traning with Canine Companions for Independence, and you would be amazed by skills and abilities.
I'm Macy - a 7 year old Standard Poodle. I was an anniversary present to my Mom and Dad. I have three human sisters, Becky, Mary and Annie - and a Standard Poodle Brother named Maverick, who is also a certified therapy dog. I love riding in the car with my ears blowing in the wind, and having my nails painted before dressing up (Sister bonding). The best days are when my Grandma Mary comes to visit, she always shares her food with me! And last but not least, my favorite thing to do is lay on the front porch and just watch the world go by.
I'm Rocco - a beautiful 4 year old brindle-colored PIt Bull - but don't let my breed fool you! I am very kind, gentle and loving - and the happiest guy you'd ever want to meet (just look at my smile!) I am also a very big boy - and my size helps me when I make visits to people in wheelchairs, so they don't have to bend down as far to pet my soft fur. My Dad likes to tease me and call me a big pussycat!
I'm Sambuca - a three year old black Labrador Retreiver. I am a fun-loving guy who enjoys taking walks, playing ball with the kids, visiting the neighbors cats, and taking a nap whenever I can! I am such a good boy that my Dad even takes me to work with him everyday. I love going to work because I can see my Papa all the time....and oh, the treats he gives me are the best!
I'm Ella - a very laid back Golden Retriever, and I am my Dad and Mom's pride and joy. They have trained me very well, in fact, so well - sometimes I don't even need my leash.
I'm Gabriel - a big, loving black lab! I have worked with a regional Search and Rescue organization since I was 4 months old. I was recently awarded my canine certification for the state of Pennsylvania, and passed my therapy dog evaluation in June of 2008. I love working with both children and adults.
I'm Oliver - an 8 and a half year old (January pooch) Golden Retriever who grew up in the country without the boundaries of a fence or leash. As a pup, I had an older dog-bro named Moose the Collie and Princess the cat who served as playful siblings. Presently, I am a city dweller working as a professional office greeter. A bit bored, I am looking to meet and help folks who may need a little jumpstart in the "happy" department.
I'm Shelby - I was recently adopted from a local shelter and I just love my new home. My Mom, Dad and Sister think I am the greatest, and for good reason! I am very intelligent and love to play frisbee. 
I'm Annie - the third fun loving Golden Retriever to become a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs United. I was certified on Saturday, August 23rd. My bio is coming...please check back soon!
I'm Savannah - I am named after the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. I was born in Maryland, grew up outside of Philadelphia (Valley Forge National Park was one of my favorites) and now I live in Erie, which is really neat because I get to visit Presque Isle and live in a neighborhood where everyone has dogs, walks their dogs and loves dogs. I'm in heaven!!!
I'm Baldy - a handsome 3 year old sable Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog). I live with my real older brother Duster and Pat now. This is my second home. I'm all Sheltie...at first, curious; don't like to get in water; love to herd (and what I herd is my frisbee); smart, and loyal. 
I'm Sullivan - a three year old merle Great Dane. I grew up in Philadelphia, and now I love living here in Erie. I love long walks, car rides, going to the beach, sleeping in, and being lazy! I was named after "Sully" from Monsters, Inc. because even though I might look like a big monster at first glance, I am really a big, cuddly teddy bear! 
I'm Midas - a two year old Bernese Mountain Dog who loves playing at the beach, hiking, "playing" soccer, and SNOW! Berners (as we are lovingly referred to) LOVE snow - our breed originated in Switzerland.
I'm Reddog - my parents rescued me after I was abandoned for the second time in my first year of life. I'm so glad they found me irresistable! My parents think I was probably born in mid-March 1996, so I'm an old boy now.
I'm Shania - I am going to be 3 years old, and I live with my Brother Matt, and our caregivers Dave and Bridget, aka, Dad and Mum. I'm an English Springer. I love to get out and go for rides in the car with Matt. I also love people and being around them. I have lots of love to give.
I'm Bandit - a 5 year old German Shepherd. I was born in a small town called Staley, North Carolina on January 2, 2004. As a warm weather born pup, I love the beach and swimming in the lake. However, when I first discovered snow, I couldn't get enough! I just love the snow. I have experienced a great many things, met a lot of wonderful people, and have traveled to several places in my short life and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm Escher - a lovely Labradoodle and I just may be the most gentle dog you'll ever meet. I am the product of a great upbringing, if I do say so myself! I'm hoping that where ever I'm needed to visit, I can bring a smile and a moment of happiness to someone in need!
I'm Broadway - I was certified as a therapy dog in October and when I'm not working to make people feel better - I'm on the job as a Search and Rescue Dog. I work in both Erie and Crawford counties, and I really excel at both of my very important jobs.
I'm Loja - I am a 3 year old Lab/Golden mix. I have had training to be a Skilled Companion and I belong to a young man named Jason. I am his best friend.
Hey, I'm Maverick - I was a Christmas gift to the family a few years ago. I think that I am a white standard poodle - but for some reason, my family calls me a rooster. So, maybe I'm a rooster - I'm not sure? I know I have lots of white hair. Anyway, when I found out my sister Macy was a therapy dog and wore that cool blue vest, I knew I had to have one! Some of my favorite things to do are to run around outside with Macy, go for a walk with Dad early in the morning (because he lets me hold my own leash!) and take a ride in the car!!
