Meet Alexandra Jon

but my friends call me " AJ " for short.   

I am a beautiful Newfoundland even though some folks think I look more like a large cuddly black bear! For those of you not familiar with my breed, a “Newf” is a large, very strong, heavy-coated dog with a sweet temperament. Newfs have natural life-saving instincts and excel in activities both on land and in the water.  True to form, I love being outdoors, going for walks on the beach, and at times, playing in the water!

I come from a champion blood line. My Mom is an award winning water dog and my Dad was a show dog with numerous titles to his name. 

I love spending time with my family, but especially enjoy meeting new people! I am very much looking forward to beginning my therapy dog career working with seniors and children.

By the way, my favorite treat is fresh fruit! So, if you happen to have some sliced apples or melons with you, I will love you for life!
