I am a black Standard Poodle born in February 2012. I am the fifth dog in my family to become a certified Therapy Dog with Therapy Dogs United.
Things I Have Learned from Humans: They taught me it's okay to jump right over the 3 1/2 ft. baby gate that blocks all the other dogs from roaming the house. They stand and applaud when I do it.
Things My Owners Have Learned from Me: They just bought a new, higher gate and they have been encouraging me to jump that one too. I'll have to think about it... I need a really good reward for that one. That's what I have been trying to teach my mom and dad. I will do just about anything with the right “paycheck”.
Favorite Trick: One of my favorite tricks is when my mom has the kids at school line up criss-cross applesauce on the floor and tell them I am going to check their ears to see if they need washed. Then I go down the row and sniff their ears and clean out the ones that really need it. The students giggle and laugh and their day gets off to a good start. I love that!
Make No Bones About It... I Am a Great Therapy Dog Because.... I am a social butterfly and enjoy visiting everybody and saying hello and giving kisses.
My Favorite Places to Visit: My mom's school. My volunteer handlers are Tim and Tammy.
