I'm Arona.
I am an 18 month old Golden Lab, and a release dog from Canine Companions for Independence. I love to run and play with people and other dogs - but I also enjoy working with children and adults of all ages. I learned a lot of special skills while traning with Canine Companions for Independence, and you would be amazed by skills and abilities.
Things I Have Learned from Humans: It is important to be a good listener. Both humans and dogs can learn so much by simply lending an ear.
Things My Owner Has Learned from Me: Patience. There is a time for work, and also a time for play.
Favorite Trick: I can retrieve a ball and bring it right back to you.
Favorite Treat: Play time!
Make No Bones About It... I Am a Great Therapy Dog Because: I am intitutive, well-mannered, kind, gentle and loving. Plus, I love to wear my vest and go to work. When I put it on, all I can think about is "Oh the Places We'll Go!"
My Favorite Places to Visit: Achievement Center, Erie School District (CHAMPS Program), Pleasant Ridge Manor East & Girard, Brookside Homes. My volunteer handlers are named Sandy and Jim.
