Meet Colby!
I am about 8 years old, and I am what you call a Heinz 57- a combination of different breed dogs all rolled into one fantastic body and personality. My Mommy got me from a shelter when I was only 1 year old and I am eternally grateful. When I was younger, I was involved in agility competition and people called me 'Colby Jack Flash' because I was so fast and jumped so high. Now I mostly relax, but I also like to play with my human children and I love to go for hikes in the woods. Sometime this spring my mom is going to find out what my genetic background is, so check back for updates!
Things I Have Learned from Humans: To trust the ones who not only let you into their homes, but also their hearts. AND - how to walk on two legs.
Things My Owner Has Learned from Me: That dogs are the most loyal creatures on Earth. To come to my level and crawl on all fours.
Favorite Trick: High Five!
Favorite Treat: Cheese beats bones and biscuits for me.
Make No Bones About It...I Am a Great Therapy Dog Because... I love anyone who loves me. Once I really get to know you, I am a friend for life.
My Favorite Places to Visit: Schools and nursing homes. My volunteer handler is named Sarah.
