Meet Daisy Mae!
I am a true party girl, and the apple of my Mom's eye! I have a very special job here at Therapy Dogs United. I began my career as a "therapy dog in training" at 10 weeks old. I was part of a TDU Pilot Program to help our agency train and place dog to become Emotional and Skilled Support animal-assisted therapy dogs. Today, I am out of the program but still very active in my career. In fact, I go to work everyday with my Mom (who founded TDU), where we work side-by-side on our program and services to better our community. In December 2011, I helped grant a very special wish to an Erie senior. To read all about it, click here!
Things I Have Learned from Humans: Being cute and adorable is everything!!!!
Things My Owner Has Learned from Me: In order for me to learn, I must have consistency with everything I do....from my feeding to my training to my playtime....we try to never deviate from the plan. My Mom has also learned that I am a very literal being, what has been a great tool in learning how to successfully ask for (and get) what you want and need in life.
Favorite Trick: I do an amazing headstand.
Favorite Treat: I am somewhat of a vegetarian...I love lettuce, apples, carrots and bananas....and, most of all eggs.
Make No Bones About It..I Am a Great Therapy Dog Because: My ability to love has no boundaries. I want nothing more than to share my amazing gift of patience, solitude and refinement with anyone and everyone I meet.
My Favorite Places to Visit: Edinboro Manor, Forestview and The Barber National Institute. My volunteer handler is named Pat.
