I'm Seamus!  I come from a litter of 8 puppies, 5 boys and 3 girls (and I'm one of those girls - don't let my name fool you!).  I was born in Sharon, PA and lived with my first owner for 8 years until he was unable to take care of me.  I moved to Girard where I now live with his parents.  I have been in Giard for the past 3 years and I love it!  I have a fenced in yard and another dog named Oakley to play with.  When my owners rake leaves in the fall I enjoy sitting in them and have to be pulled out when they try to bag them up!

Things I Learned from Humans:  They taught me how to go in and out of the dog door, shake, sit, lay down and take a treat gently.  They also taught me how not to pull on the leash when going for a walk and now we go more often.

Things My Owner Learned from Me:  If they want to relax and forget about their problems for a while, just sit down and pet me or give me a hug!  Taking me for a long walk is good exercise for both of us.

Favorite Trick:  I like to have my owners throw a toy for me.  I will bring it back once, then I make them chase me for it!  They rarely catch me.  Take me to the beach, however, and I will retrieve that ball from the water and put it right at their feet every time for hours!

Favorite Treat:  Anything out of a bag especially if my owner is also eating it.

Make No Bones About It...I Am a Great Therapy Dog Because.... I am very patient, love hugs, enjoy being pet and I loke to go to new and different places.

My Favorite Places to Visit:  Erie First Christian Academy "Read to Me" program, Millcreek Manor, Blasco Memorial Library.
