We are overjoyed by the number of amazing books we collected during our 2022 Book Drive, sponsored by Pressed Book Store on West 8th Street. The generosity from our friends throughout the Erie community overwhelms us! This year we collected just under 500 new and gently used books that we will use to restock our own personal library AND share with several of our partner agencies! In late January, Therapy Dogs United was proud to donate dozens of age-appropriate books to the Pediatric Mental Health Unit at Millcreek Community Hospital; eager readers at Erie First Christian Academy; and older teens at Stairways Behavioral Health.
Our mission doesn’t stop here! We plan to add a library inside all four judges’ chambers to benefit the kids we visit at the Erie County Courthouse! Stay tuned for more exciting details surrounding this new initiative! In the meantime, on behalf of all of us at Therapy Dogs United, thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of so many friends in need! Woof!
